I would like to request the following information in relation to the westbound speed camera on the A3212 Grosvenor Road Junction with Vauxhall Bridge.
1. The relevant traffic order or authorisation stating that the camera can be placed at that location and that it is an approved device.
Please find the traffic order attached. The current camera is a RedSpeed Speedcurb camera, which is approved by Home Office for speed enforcement.
2. The date the current camera was installed.
The camera in place now was installed on 25 March 2016.
3. The exact location including the height that the camera can be installed in relation to a clear identifying marker, such as a nearest junction, door number or lamp column.
The camera equipment is mounted on the westbound footway of Grosvenor Road west of Vauxhall Bridge on a 4 metre mounting post in line with the Speedcurb camera’s Home Office type approval.
4. The location of the piezo sensors in relation to the distance of the camera. These sensors are location in the carriageway.
These can be seen in the carriageway at the start of the carriageway markings.

The single lane of markings was in place for the Gatsometer camera prior to 2016.
6. When the current camera was recalibrate in relation to the new 20mph speed restriction.
This was done when the speed limit changed to 20mph, as per the traffic order attached.
7.If these are your assents that are controlled and maintained by yourself why are the police using them to enforce a speed restriction. What gives you the authorisation to control these cameras and the police to enforce the restrictions when they do not have access to the data needed. Please provide evidence of this.
TfL and the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) work in partnership to deliver London’s safety camera operation to reduce speed and speed-related collisions. TfL is responsible for the installation and maintenance of safety cameras across London. TfL funds the MPS to enforce offences detected by the cameras as speeding is a criminal offence and can only be enforced by the police. Data captured by the cameras is not accessible by TfL for enforcement purposes.
