We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-1351-2021
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 14th October 2020 asking for information about the impact of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods on the taxi industry.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked for:
“Any documents analysis and impact assessments that low traffic neighbours are having or likely to have on the taxi industry.”
TfL does not hold any recorded information that falls within the scope of your request. Note that while TfL funds Low Traffic Neighbourhoods it is individual London Boroughs that are the decision makers on development and delivery. Most of these schemes are in residential neighbourhoods, and all addresses should still have access - albeit it might mean getting to them via a slightly different route. We would therefore expect any impact to be minimal.
If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
David Wells
