I would like to know how many complaints do you receive about not enough service on this route. I would also like to know how many passengers travel on this route and how does it compare to other services with the same frequency in the area.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 26 July 2024 asking for information about the performance of route 117.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
For the complaints data, there have been 113 contacts which relate to the service during the period 01/04/2023 to 20/07/2024. These relate to different service issues, such as late arrival, failure to arrive, refusal to stop/open doors, curtailed journeys and overcrowding.
For passenger numbers, please see the BUSTO data which is now published on the TfL website at the link here: http://crowding.data.tfl.gov.uk/
The relevant files for the route 117 would be as follows – some of the other routes that operate at a similar frequency include the 110, 203, 423, and H28. The data for those can also be downloaded as appropriate as the route numbers are included in the file names:
