You asked

Can you please confirm whether TfL have received permission from the PLA to build the Rotherhithe bridge at the Northern alignment? Have the PLA given permission to reduce the bridge deck to a height of 15m above the mean spring high tide/water? Have you spoken to English heritage and have they given you permission to build the bridge in front of Cascades Tower, now a grade II listed building? Please provide 'as at' dates for all above answers. Thanks

Thank you for your request received on 14 August 2018 asking for information about the Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf Crossing.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.

As part of our ongoing work to develop a preferred bridge option, we are undertaking regular engagement with the relevant stakeholders to seek their views and develop an appropriate design; this includes - but is not limited to - the Port of London Authority and English Heritage. At present, no final decisions have been made on the detail of the bridge option and no formal approvals have been sought or granted. Our proposals are under development and before final decisions are taken, we will present these to the public as part of Consultation later this year to invite input.
