East-West and North-South Superhighways separately

You asked
Dear Sir
I have just been pointed to this report: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/segregated-cycling-infrastructure-evidence-pack.pdf.
In it you claim “Since opening, the East-West and North-South corridors are already moving 5% more people per hour than they did without cycle lanes”.
Under the FoIA, please can you send me the calculations on which this claim was based and with it, please can you identify the number of passengers on buses and how those were counted.
Please can you also provide the calculations for the East-West and North-South Superhighways separately.
In addition, has TfL made a calculation of the total people throughput of the Embankment over a 24 hour period and if so, what does it show before and after the construction of the E-W superhighway. In the calculation, please identify the number of bus passengers per bus and how this number is arrived at. If TfL has not done this calculation why not?
With very best regards

In it you claim “Since opening, the East-West and North-South corridors are already moving 5% more people per hour than they did without cycle lanes”.
We can advise that the five per cent figure cited in the evidence pack is based using an average of the calculations taken of people throughput in the Blackfriars Bridge and Victoria Embankment locations.
Under the FoIA, please can you send me the calculations on which this claim was based and with it, please can you identify the number of passengers on buses and how those were counted.

Please see the attached tables, which provides the methodology used for these calculations, including details of how bus passengers are taken into account.
