In your capacity as an enforcement authority, you have obtained legal advice and representation in respect of the case of Commercial Plant Services Ltd and others v Transport for London (2230060716, 21 July 2023), this includes representation at the original hearing as well as at the review hearing.
I would like to know the total amount spent on legal fees and costs up to 21 July 2023. Please could you confirm the figure both including and excluding VAT.

TfL Ref: FOI-1333-2324 Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 26th July 2023 asking for information about legal costs in respect of the case of Commercial Plant Services Ltd and others v Transport for London. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. Specifically you asked: “In your capacity as an enforcement authority, you have obtained legal advice and representation in respect of the case of Commercial Plant Services Ltd and others v Transport for London (2230060716, 21 July 2023), this includes representation at the original hearing as well as at the review hearing. I would like to know the total amount spent on legal fees and costs up to 21 July 2023. Please could you confirm the figure both including and excluding VAT.” I can confirm that we hold the information you require. The total external legal costs including Counsels’ costs in this matter is £38,500 excluding VAT, and £46,200 including VAT.
