Request ID: FOI-1329-2122
Date published: 20 October 2021

You asked

Dear Transport for London, I would like to request data on how many registered users of Auto Pay are issued with PCNs every year Yours faithfully,

We answered

TfL Ref: 1329-2122

Thank you for your emails received by Transport for London (TfL) on 20 September and following clarification, 11 October 2021, asking for information about the number of Penalty Charge Notices PCNs) issued to those with Auto Pay accounts from 2019 to date.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested. This is because we do not record whether or not a vehicle is registered to an Auto Pay account when we issue a PCN, or whether the registration matches what was supposed to be on the account.

If you’ve had an issue with PCNs and your account, please email us at: [email protected] and we’ll try to help.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
