Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12^th October 2020 asking for information about the traffic lights and crossing at Purley Way, Croydon, CR0 4FE.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

“Can you please confirm when the traffic lights/crossing outside Harris Primary Academy Purley Way (Propeller Crescent, CR0 4FE) are scheduled to be operational.”

We are unable to provide an exact date for when the signals will become operational. Before TfL can turn on the traffic signals the right turn from Propeller Crescent requires a “traffic order” to be put in place. This has to be done by Croydon Council as the road belongs to them. Subject to the traffic order being completed - along with the statutory eight week advertising/consultation period - we are hoping to be in a position to turn on the signals in December. However, in current circumstances we are not able to confirm this date as it relies on the traffic order being raised by the Council.
