TfL Ref: FOI-1310-2425

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22nd July 2024 asking for information about contactless journeys to Luton Airport Parkway.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

Contactless journeys to Luton Airport Parkway: Please can you share the number of contactless journeys and station pairs for 2023”.

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

Please find attached a file showing contactless journeys to Luton Airport Parkway, broken down by origin station. Note that we only store contactless journey data for 13 months, so are unable to provide data including the first seven months of 2023. The data in this file therefore relates to the most recent full year for which data is held – that is, from 1st August 2023 to 31st July 2024. These counts are derived from completed journeys where the customer tapped in and out. Journeys completed using a paper ticket, and incomplete journeys (i.e. where the passenger did not tap in or out for whatever reason) are not captured in the data.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely,
