Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23rd July 2023 asking for information about X26 / SL7 bus services.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Are Luggage racks mandated on the X26/SL7? Will they be installed on buses used for the frequency increase and on the Hybrids/EVs that will be used from next year? Will the operating hours be extended due to the frequency increase?”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Luggage racks are not mandated on route X26/SL7. However, it is intended to install luggage racks on the additional buses required for the frequency increase to be introduced later in the year. There are no current plans to increase the hours of operation.
