2. How many night tube driver have been moved into day work due to the current suspension of night tube?
The last headcount report (3rd Oct) said there were 126 Night Time drivers working Full Time hours.
3. Number of vacancies per line/depot.
At present there are a number of secondments in place which have moved numerous Train Operators from their substantive roles and grades into alternative roles and grades. As a result of this, and current uncertainties due to the pandemic, we are unable to currently provide an accurate number of substantive vacancies at this time.
4. Appreciate the current situation with the Coronavirus, but IS there any intention for TFL to run an further Train Operators roles externally?
At such time as there is a requirement to recruit drivers, we may advertise externally.
5. Do line Controllers roles get advertised/extermally and is the any intention to do so any time in the foreseeable future?
Historically we have recruited a small number of Service Controllers via collaboration with the Armed Services, however the vast majority of roles are filled via an internal career development programme.
6. Does TFL advertise Schedule compiler jobs externally?
The last few campaigns have not been advertised externally.
7. Are you able to supply a draft contract for Train Operators roles just so can read the job details
Please see the attached Job description for the role as this explains the job in detail.
8. Is TFL Likely to advertise any customer service jobs any time soon?
The current advice from Department for Transport/City Hall is for no external recruitment, however should there be a future business need for CS recruitment, this would be an external campaign.
