1. How many people are currently subscribed as members to the Santander Cycle hire scheme?

    

   • 104,508

      

     • 24 hour members – 81,373

      

     • Annual members – 23,135

      

      

     The above is based on the assumption that Members currently subscribed defined as customers who have bought an access period in the last 12 months;

      

      

2. How many casual users are there per month of the Santander Cycle Hire scheme?

    

   • 94,352

      

     The scheme sees large seasonality in its customer usage, particularly for casual customers. The figure of 94,352 is the monthly average number of different casual customers that have used the scheme in the last 12 months.

      

      

3. How many individuals hire a bike per month at least once?

    

   • 130,383

      

     The figure of 130,383 is the monthly average number of different customers that have used the scheme in the last 12 months

      

      

4. What’s the average number of hires per individual per month?

    

   • 10

This ranges widely across access periods with casual customers only hiring on average 4 times a month with members hiring around 14 times a month. The average across all customers though is 10.
