Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19th July 2023 asking for information about staff taking training courses while on redeployment.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“On average, how many training courses does an employ do during their 13 week at redeployment?”
I am afraid that we do not hold the necessary recorded information to answer your question with an accurate figure. The average number of classroom-based or ezone training courses recorded against redeployed employee’s records is 1.44. This data is based on employees who started a redeployment phase on or after 1st January 2018. However, note that in addition to this redeployees are able to attend workshops run by the Redeployment team, but these are not recorded against the employee’s record on our central HR recording system. The minimum number of such workshops available to employees is 6. We have no recorded data to determine how many employees take up these options and how many workshops they attend. This means that the actual average figure will be above the 1.44 figure cited above.
