Dear Transport for London,
On the evening of 18th July 2023, approx 21:00, one of your subcontractors installed two white cameras to a street lamp on the corner of A406 and Golders Green Road NW11, London, next to the pedestrian footbridge.
Can you please advise
-for which purpose these cameras are being used to monitor; -is data being recorded or watched live by an operator.
-if data from the cameras is being used to give PCN's, which authority is going to be responsible for this?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on19 July 2023 asking for information about cameras installed on the A406 and Golders Green Road.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
The cameras will be enforcing two banned manoeuvres at the junction between Golders Green Road and the North Circular Road (A406).
The two restrictions to be enforced are:
No right turn on Golders Green Road North Westbound junction with North Circular Road.
No right turn (except buses) on North Circular Road junction with Golders Green Road.
The cameras are designed to continuously record footage and the data gathered will then be analysed and processed by Compliance Officers.
If a contravention is identified then a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued. TfL is the issuing authority. If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.
