Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I would be grateful if you would supply the following details: The number of stolen oyster cards in the last 12 months, The number of lost oyster cards in the last 12 months.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 27 July 2019 asking for information about lost and stolen oyster cards.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.

Please see figures below in relation to replacement cards.

The way we record these does not enable us to differentiate between cards that are lost or stolen.  The figures below include, lost, stolen damaged and failed cards for the financial year 2018/19, which is the most recent data available:
