Thames Road has been closed due to works on the road for approx 6+ weeks. The diversion for the 1st 3 weeks sent you down the road before (Bastable Avenue) which is normally buses only 6am-10am. This did not apply whilst the diversion was in place. The diversion down this road was stopped without warning despite the road works still ongoing and you now have to follow River Road right round in a loop instead. You can see the closed Thames Road barriers from Barstable Ave and would have no reason to think that the diversion would have changed after 3 or so weeks. The signs and lay out all look the same just the wording on the sign has changed. Myself and many others have continued to use this diversion until we got tickets coming through of which I have 3 and feel we have been lured in and tricked. I would like to know how many tickets the cameras at the East end of Barnstable road issued during each month March April May June and July as I am sure that the misleading information regarding diversions would have increasd this number significantly.
