Transport for London currently include a 14% uplift, as shown in the example below. This is in addition to the repair costs of the damage(s) to crown property, pursued against motorists and their insurers. What we request is a copy of any agreement setting out the basis of the applied uplift.
We also request the detailed calculation including all component parts that form to reach the 14% uplift.
Also please confirm the specific date that the 14% uplift was adopted.

TfL Ref: FOI-1238-2122
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 September 2021, asking for information about uplifts applied to TFL invoices.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. You asked:
What we request is a copy of any agreement setting out the basis of the applied uplift. There is no formal agreement and so this is not held We also request the detailed calculation including all component parts that form to reach the 14% uplift. Also please confirm the specific date that the 14% uplift was adopted This is a long standing instruction to our claims handlers to recover our costs with respect to the claim and follows general case law on the matter. We do not have the specific date the 14% uplift was adopted or the specific components as this would have been arranged over ten years ago and, in line with our retention policy, we are no longer able to access such historical information.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
