Good afternoon,
I wish to know when someone's congestion charge or ulez charge is put in the penalty stage and there is a massive increase. What does this money actually get spent on? Can I have a detailed breakdown of how this money gets spent.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 17 August 2022 asking for information about Congestion/ULEZ payments.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.
Net revenue raised from ULEZ and the Congestion Charge is reinvested into London’s transport network to make it as safe, efficient and reliable as possible. We do not, however, hold a detailed breakdown of how this money is spent.
