We answered

Our ref: FOI-1226-1718/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22 August 2017 asking for information about bus route closures since January 2017 for bus routes, 83, N83, 13, 82, 113 and 324.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

The only bus route withdrawal is the 82 following a consultation which recommended that we enhance the 13 service and withdraw the 82 service.

The changes to the 13, withdrawal of the 82 and changes to the 113 is the only one that was released in January this year. The report is available here: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/routes-13-82-113-139-189/

Bus route 83 is still running, although it lost it’s 24 service but it was replaced with the N83 operation with a 2bph frequency in September 16 with the retendering of the contract. The route was shortened from Ealing Hospital back to Alperton as part of that new contract but the N service still goes to the hospital. The consultation on that is available to view on our website at: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/83-483-n83/

The 324 is a relatively new route only coming into existence in 2010 and we are not aware that this route is going to change. It was retendered and contracted in October 2015.

If we intend to withdraw a route or change its terminus points, we are obliged to consult on it under the GLA act 1999 (section 183). The link to this web page is: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/
