Thank you for your response and advice on my request. If possible, I would like to modify my request to narrow the scope of the information requested. I would like a list of properties sold by TFL, or where TFL has entered into an agreement for sale over the last ten years, including the postcode, the date of the transaction, description of the land, and the price sold.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 1 August July 2018 asking for information about property transactions.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Please find attached a spreadsheet showing the property sold by TfL over the last 10 years, including the postcodes and a description of the land.

Unfortunately it would not be possible to provide you with the date and the price sold for each transaction, without contacting the surveyor for each transaction and manually collating this information, which would again exceed

the ‘appropriate limit’ of £450 set by the Freedom of Information (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004.

(Under section 12 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to comply with a request if we estimate that the cost of determining whether we hold the information, locating and retrieving it and extracting it from other information would exceed the appropriate limit. This is calculated at £25 per hour for every hour spent on the activities described).

To help bring the cost of responding to your request within the £450 limit, you may wish to consider narrowing its scope so that we can more easily locate, retrieve and extract the information you are seeking. For example – you may wish to ask for the date and sale price information for specific properties shown on the attached list.
