Our ref: FOI-1212-2021/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 28 September 2020 asking for information about the Ram Street camera.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
1. When the camera became operational
This camera was commissioned in 2008, we do not hold the specific date of when it became operational.
2. The number of tickets issued from this location since then
The first PCN was issued on 27 July 2018 and since then a total of 57 penalties have been issued up until 24 September 2020.
3. The revenue it generated in that period
TfL has received £2,803 in revenue from these PCNs.
4. The number of vehicles fined whilst stationery on private land, next to 8 Ram Street
We have issued two PCNs to vehicles parked on the private land area at this location. One was cancelled and the other (GTXXXXX), issued to you has been reviewed and we have arranged for the PCN to be cancelled.
Please note that the footway at this location belongs to TfL and the private land begins beyond this. Any vehicles parked encroaching on the footway will receive a PCN. We have arranged for enforcement at this location to be reviewed with a view to not issuing penalties to vehicles parked wholly on the private land area.
5. The revenue of those tickets under number 4
We have received no revenue from these PCNs.
If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you are considering submitting a further FOI request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.
