FIRE RESISTANT SINGLE CORE CABLE

Request ID: FOI-1201-2223
Date published: 05 September 2022

You asked

Good morning, The British Standard for single core non sheathed fire resistant cables BS 8592:2016 came into effect on 31 March 2016. There was no standard for these cables prior to the introduction of this standard. My question is: "BS 5266-1:2016 Code of Practice for Emergency Lighting requires that for centrally fed emergency lighting systems, single core cables should conform to BS 8592. What fire resistant single core cables compliant to BS 8592 are on the LUL Approved Products Register" and approved for use on TFL infrastructure products?
