Dear Sir/Madam I would like to know how much it cost Transport for London to buy new stickers to cover where old stickers said "Maintain a 2 metre distance where possible", with the stickers that cover the old message reading "Maintain Social Distancing", broken down into how much the new stickers cost for Buses, Trams, Docklands Light Railway, TfL Rail, London Overground and London Underground.

We answered

Thank you for your request received on 26 September 2020 asking for information about sticker costs.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you requested. You asked:

I would like to know how much it cost Transport for London to buy new stickers to cover where old stickers said "Maintain a 2 metre distance where possible", with the stickers that cover the old message reading "Maintain Social Distancing", broken down into how much the new stickers cost for Buses, Trams, Docklands Light Railway, TfL Rail, London Overground and London Underground.

We produced two styles of sticker, one that referenced 2 metres and others that simply asked customers to maintain social distancing where possible. We are able to provide the cost for Tube and Bus. However, we do not hold the information for Tram, Docklands Light Railway and London Overground as we provided the artwork to the operators who will have then managed any updates if required.

The costs are as follows, and cover design, manufacturing and delivery:

31,000 bus overlay stickers - £31,000

3,940 London Underground overlay stickers - £8,405
