Dear Sir/Madam, Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information: According to the most recent period available how much do you spend per kilowatt-hour for electricity across property TfL owns or manages and across TfL stations and carriages? Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 14 July 2023 asking for information about our electricity expenditure.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

TfL’s average electricity spend is as follows:

Traction Power (Trains): the average pence per kilowatt hour (kWh) = 19.13

For all other applications, offices, stations, property: the average pence per kWh = 22.89
