Thank you for your email received on 24 July asking for information regarding noise and vibration.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:

  • Noise and Vibration report done in Barbican in 1979
  • Report done prior to moving a Crossover nearer to Barbican - same time
  • Documents relating to noise and vibration complaints since 2014 between Barbican and Moorgate
  • Documents relating to track replacement, maintenance and specification for sub surface

We ran a number of searches through our archives catalogue for Brandon Mews, Barbican, Crossover, Cross over, Moorgate, vibration, noise pollution. Attached (CAR-095-1819) are the results that match your requirements most closely. We made a request for the 1979 report (LT000649/078) Noise and Vibration from Underground Railways Affecting Residents – review of findings and problems, 30 May 1979. Unfortunately we weren’t able to find specific reference to Brandon Mews within the report. Attached are scans of the summary to the report which outlines its findings and a table you will be very welcome to book an appointment to see these items in the search room.
