Hi, would like the information for the travel restrictions for all nominee oyster card from bus operator oyster, tfl contractor oyster, retired tfl oyster cards (red staff one), the green staff oyster, the purple staff oyster as well, if I am correct they are not valid on the national rail services can I get detailed information for this, as I work in a hub national rail station no tfl services connected and we are getting many coming to our gates here, and I would like to put the terms of use and what services they can use on a small poster I can show them, as many do not know where they can and can't use it. Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 July 2024 asking for information about staff oysters and nominee cards.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Staff, Nominee and Retired Oystercards have the following limited availability on National Rail services:

All TfL rail services; operated by London Underground, Docklands Light Railway, London Overground, Elizabeth line and Tramlink (except for any special services e.g. Steam Specials or Rail Tours)
London’s Bus services displaying the red or white roundel on the front and any other bus service where TfL fares apply (except for any special services)
National Rail services (standard class only) between the following stations:


They are not valid on any other National Rail service.

Contractor, Bus Operator and Bus Nominee Oystercards have no availability on National Rail services.
