A report / list / records /l og sheets / job sheets or any similar such information held in relation to the following;
• Any mechanical failure of busses operating on routes;
o 456
o W9
o W6
o 231
o 307

The reports should include any busses which were out of service at the time the mechanical failure occurred but that were over wise assigned to that route (e.g. if the mechincail failure occurred when the bus was returning to the garage as out of service)
That occurred between Mid day on Sunday 10th July 2022 and Mid day on Wednesday 13th July 2022
The reports as far as possible should show;

• The vehicle
• The date and time the mechanical failure occurred
• The location the mechanical failure occurred (e.g. road name/bus stop name)
• The action taken to resolve the failure (e.g. was the vehicle fixed at the road side, driven back to depot in an out of service condition, recovered etc)
• The nature of the mechanical failure
For the avoidance of doubt mechanical failure is deemed to include any form of failure attributed to a vehicle which renders it out of service (including but not limited to; electrical faults; mis-feeling, component failure, failure of safety devices)

I am afraid that TfL does not hold the requested information. Bus services in London are run by private operators under contract with TfL. While we do monitor the peformance of those operators, the mechanical failure of buses is not information that is routinely reported to us. We do not, therefore, hold the information to answer your questions.
Note that more general information about buses in London - including performance by route - can be found on our website here:
