Thank you for your request received by us on 23 August 2021 asking for information about a specific face covering poster.
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  You asked for:

information about one specific face covering signage? The lower left one on page 30 of posters and signage summary COVID.pptx under your Ref: FOI-0603-2021.

However, we can provide the information you have requested below as a combined total for the variants attached as follows:

Please provide a) the total quantity of printed,

Circa 16,000 in total, inclusive of smaller top-up orders.

b) the parties which obtained this printed signage,

Transport for London (TfL) ordered this signage to be displayed by the individual bus operating companies on their bus fleets

c) the date and the quantity these parties got the signage, and

The bulk of these vinyl stickers would have been received in May 2020; which was when the main order was processed accordingly.

d) any official instruction for the place to display this signage.

Placement instructions were put together by our Head of Design, which were distributed to bus operators by the London Buses Business Development Managers at TfL.
