TfL Ref: 1083-2122
Thank you for your request received by us on 22 August 2021 asking for information about Road Closure Notices for various streets in the E1 area of east London.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. You asked for:
1. Copies of the TFL Road Closure Notices for the A 1203 aka 'The Highway' covering the roadway between Dock Street and Garnet Street E1 for Sunday 15082021 and Sunday 22082021. 2. Copies of the TFL Footpath Closure Notice for the A 1203 aka 'The Highway' on Sunday 22082021 covering the footpath between Wellclose Street and Ensign Street E1. 3. Copies of TFL notices or communications officially informing the London Borough of Tower Hamlets' Highways Department of the closure of the Highway on these dates, as this information did not appear on the LBTH Highways website for either date.
We do not hold this information because the highways referenced above are managed by Hackney Council and therefore not part of Transport for London’s Road Network, which make up the capital’s red routes. In these circumstances we advise contacting the local authority directly for copies of their Road Closure Notices and an explanation as to why these road closures did not appear on their website via: https://hackney.gov.uk/foi-request
4. An explanation as to why this information was not available on the Traffic Status updates on the TFL website on either Sunday 15082021 nor Sunday 22082021.
As you are seeking an explanation, rather than asking specifically for recorded information as required by the Act, Question Four has been forwarded to our Customer Services team to respond accordingly.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
