1970 London Transport Conductor contract
Request ID: FOI-1063-1718
Date published: 11 October 2017
You asked
To whom this may concern,
I started working for London Transport in 1970 as a conductor, then conductor instructor and then a bus driver, before privatisation. As my contract started on LT I was hoping that TFL's archives may have a copy of the standard contract provided at that time?
With thanks

Unfortunately we do not have the standard contract however, we have a guide to the contract of employment Act 1972 incorporating changes arising from the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act 1974 together with a Memoranda that looks at how this Act affected changes to the pay conditions of Road Service staff in 1975.
