Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 August 2021 asking for information about how many TFL vehicles comply with the ULEZ extension expansion in October 2021 and how many TFL vehicles will fail the extended ULEZ expansion requirements.

We have worked hard to upgrade or replace non-ULEZ compliant vehicles with vehicles that meet ULEZ standards.

*The non-compliant LU vehicles are 5 Large Goods Vehicles (LGVs) and 2 welfare vans (specialist mobile toilets for night and track work).
**The Museum currently operates two vehicles to support its activity. It intends to replace the first with a viable battery alternative once a suitable option is available. The second is a bespoke vehicle required for specialist event support with limited usage.
London buses are privately operated and are not part of TfL’s core operational fleet. All the private bus operators have ensured that their contracted vehicles are now compliant.
The services and maintenance for the DLR, Cycle Hire and Overground are provided under contract by external companies and we have no knowledge or control of their vehicle use.
