Hi I have been referred from taxi and private hire complaints. I have placed an foi request with them asking how many complaints an individual has made to TFL.

Whilst you have not provided the full details as requested, I can advise you that we would be unable to provide you with information relating to a named member of the public, including the number of complaints received from this person.

This information would be considered to be person information - disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
