Good Afternoon,
My request is in regards to the new Elizabeth Line being built.
Will police officers of the Met and BTP be allowed free travel on these services from Reading, as they are for all other TFL services?
Many Thanks.

Our ref: FOI-1046-2122/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19 August 2021 asking for information about Elizabeth Line Police Travel.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Police Oyster cards have been valid on TfL Rail services between Reading and Paddington since 15 December 2019, subject to visual inspection between Reading and West Drayton as Oyster is not accepted on the card readers at these stations.
Services currently branded as TfL Rail will be rebranded as the Elizabeth line in future, and Police Oyster cards will continue to be valid for travel on the same basis.
Met and BTP officers holding a Police Oyster card can travel on TfL Rail services now and will be able to do so on Elizabeth line services in future.
If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
