FOI request detail

Ibus and Class 710s

Request ID: FOI-1038-1920
Date published: 06 August 2019

You asked

Dear Transport for London FOI, Sir / Madam, Please would you be able to supply a CD containing the latest version of i-bus announcements, including all the new "change for local bus route etc" announcements which have been introduced on Route 14 over the last week or so. Is the new style information on Route 14 due to be rolled out across the whole of the bus network or is that just a trial? Would you also be able to provide a list of the new "change here" messages and what is assigned to each stop, maybe a PDF of Excel sheet? Also would you please be able to supply a copy of the audio files for London Overground Class 710s.

Our ref: FOI-1038-1920/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 July 2019 asking for information about iBus announcements.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

A CD containing the iBus announcements has been sent to you in the post. The Route 14 announcements were a short campaign that was live for a period of one week, and there are no plans to roll these out on other routes. Some of these announcements have already been deleted from our system and are therefore are no longer held – we have included the announcements which we do hold.

It should be noted that the iBus announcements are recorded as fragments. As a result, some announcements would not feature in full as the full announcement would just be made up of two or more fragments that have already been recorded. I have also included a list of the announcements for your reference.

Please also note that while access to this material will be provided to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, you are not granted any rights to any of the intellectual property that exists in it or granted any permission to make secondary uses of it.

TfL owns all intellectual property (including, without limitation, copyright) in the material supplied and will defend such rights.

If you wish to make any secondary use of the material provided, you must first obtain the consent of TfL (which may be withheld) and, if consent is granted, a fee may be charged, in accordance with the terms of the Reuse of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please feel free to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
