You asked

1. A copy of the engagement policy governing TfL engagement with representatives of the private hire trade 2. Copies of any and all signed agreements between TfL and each private hire representative for purposes of stakeholder engagement. This should also include all required disclosures made to TfL as requirement prior to engagement. 3.  Thank you for your email received on 31 July 2017 asking about Transport for London’s (TfL) taxi and private hire engagement policy and signed agreements.

  

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:

  

“1. A copy of the engagement policy governing TfL engagement with representatives of the private hire trade

  

2. Copies of any and all signed agreements between TfL and each private hire representative for purposes of stakeholder engagement. This should also include all required disclosures made to TfL as requirement prior to engagement.

  

3. A list of all entities and individuals recognised by TfL for the purposes of Taxi and Private hire Engagement. This list should be separate out taxi and private hire stakeholders.”

  

TfL does not have a written policy for its engagement with the private hire trade and does not require any signed agreements from individual representatives.

  

TfL meets regularly with the following trade bodies:

 

Private Hire

·         GMB Professional Drivers Branch

·         Licensed Private Hire Car Association

·         Private Hire Board

·         Addison Lee

·         Uber

Taxis

·         Licensed Cab Drivers Club

·         London Taxi Drivers Associations

·         RMT

·         United Cabbies Group

·         Unite the Union

 

TfL also meets with other stakeholders and individual drivers on an ad-hoc basis.
