Thank you for your request received on 29 July 2022 asking for information about driver licence revocations appeals.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

You have told us that in 2021 there were 794 licence revocations for private hire drivers.

•           We would like to know how many of those revocations in 2021 were appealed

38 appeals were made to the Magistrates Court.
 
•           We would also like to know how many of those revocations were overturned on appeal

None of the appeals were overturned by the Court.
