You asked

Tower Transit, one of the bus operators within London was proposing to build a bus garage at Picketts Lock in the Borough of Enfield potentially supporting the Upper Lea Valley Opportunity Area in light of developments taking place with more additional busses added within the Opportunity Area Could you answer on why this bus garage proposal did not go forward into not getting built?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 August 2021, asking why Tower Transit didn’t build a bus garage at Picketts Lock.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

The operator Tower Transit was the lead on this site. Following engagement with the London Borough of Enfield over planning issues, they concluded that they wouldn’t progress.
