Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23rd July 2022 asking for information about the ‘Get Ahead of the Games’ campaign.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I would like to request copies of all posters, flyers and leaflets from the 'Get Ahead of the Games' Campaign from 2012”.
I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. However, note that to conduct a trawl of all of our records, including archived material, to find out exactly what is held would exceed the costs limit for responding to FOI cases as set out under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act. Under section 12, TfL is not required to provide information if it would cost more than £450 to determine if information is held, and to then locate, retrieve or extract that information from elsewhere. This is calculated at a rate of £25 per hour, equivalent to 18 hours work. As you can see via the following link to our archived records (https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/about-tfl/culture-and-heritage/corporate-archives) a search of the word “Olympic” returns 389 “hits” when searching the online catalogue, and 38,645 hits when searching the digital collection. It is not possible for us to review all of these records within the costs limit.
Notwithstanding the above, note that our Marketing team has provided the attached documents which provides some of the requested material.
