FOI request for Elizabeth Line Train Faults

Request ID: FOI-0985-2324
Date published: 13 July 2023

You asked

Hi, I regret having to make this request but given the reluctance for TfL to make this information available easily, I am forced to go by this route. I would like to know the following information for so far this calendar year. So, for clarity, that is all months from January to June 2023 inclusive. If possible, I would prefer it split into individual months. For all Elizabeth Line services, how many Elizabeth Line train faults have occurred that have led to a delay of an Elizabeth Line service? For further clarity: Only include Elizabeth Line trains. A fault includes any mechanical, electrical or software fault. A train that has developed a fault which has been remedied and then develops either another fault (or a recurrence of the previous fault) is to be counted as 2 faults. It doesn't matter whether the fault only affects the one service or multiple services, it only counts as a single fault. If it makes it quicker for you, I am happy to simply receive raw data, that would allow me to extract the requested information electronically myself.
