Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 10 August 2021 asking for information bus route 73.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.
 
  1. What was the reason why the 73 bus ceased going to Victoria Station, at what committee meeting was this first proposed, what date and who proposed, copy of minutes.

The 73 scheme was introduced in order to make savings and help reduce the number of buses on Oxford Street (noted or approved at Bus Service Meeting 479, 494, 501 & 503 – copies enclosed)
  1. What date was the Boris Bus introduced?
The New Routemaster first entered service in February 2012.
 
  1. How many passenger journeys made on made on this bus in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, what was the revenue?

40 Upper deck / 22 Lower Deck, 1 wheelchair space, 18 standing (25 standing without wheelchair); 
 
  1. How many seats on the model of bus before the Boris Bus, how many standing?
53 upper deck seating, 27 lower deck seating and 44 standing passengers.
 
  1. How many seats on the Bendy Bus, and how many standing?
48 seats with standing room for 98.
