Can you please provide us with the copies report as to the cause of the fire on the grass at the side of the track between Upney Station and Becontree Station on the 18/07/2022 around 2.30pm.
We would like to know the cause of the fire and if TFL are to blame, as we believe the cause was water getting into the trackside cables.

Thank you for your request received on 21 July 2022 asking for information about a fire on 18 July on the grass at the side of the track between Upney Station and Becontree Station.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.
Please find the requested report attached. The report states that the fire was in 5 garden sheds adjacent to the track and the fire spread under the fence and the cable run in the dry foliage by the track side.
