I am interested in your dataset on the total number of Santander Cycle Hire Scheme hires (https://data.london.gov.uk/dataset/number-bicycle-hires). However, the table does not give information about the hire location and route. Would it be possible to get any information on this? This would be very helpful for my research.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 29 June 2023 asking for information about our cycle hire data.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold some of the information you require.
The information you asked for is available on the Open Data pages of our website using the following link: https://cycling.data.tfl.gov.uk/. The most useful files for you may be those which contain the words “JourneyDataExtract” which appear towards the end of the page

Whilst specific route information is not available (e.g. no GPS track), the data does provide the start and end docking station, date of hire and duration for every bike hire. The data on journeys is from 2016 to mid-June 2023.
