Hi Transport for London (TfL),
I am writing to obtain quarterly data from Q1 2013 to Q4 2023 of number of passengers / passenger kilometres travelling on all the main TfL public transport modes (including London Underground, bus, DLR, London Overground, the Elizabeth line, London Trams, National Rail London and South East franchised operators).
The attached is a similar yearly data that I am able to find on the TfL public domain. However, no quarterly data is available there.
The above information will be used for the dissertation of my master's study at UCL. Therefore, I hope the data can be provided as soon as possible. Thank you so much and looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23rd June 2024 asking for information about the number of passengers travelling on various TfL modes.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:

I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. However, please note, TfL is not responsible for National Rail services in London and the South East and holds no such data.
The table below shows where the information that is held can be found. Note that we do not necessarily hold it back to 2013. Where spreadsheets are provided you may need to expand the width of some columns to read the data in full:
