Thank you for your request received on 26 June 2024 asking for information about a tweet by Will Norman on 25 June 2024. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold / the information you require. Please note the chart published on X by Will Norman on 25 June 2024 does not depict a projected growth in cycling levels. It shows past growth in cycling levels for the 2000-2023 period, indexed to 2000. The data table used for the graph, along with the data source and formulas used to calculate its values is attached. The 33 per cent increase in cycling levels from 2022 to 2030 is a TfL target developed in 2023 and published in the Cycling Action Plan 2. It is not a projection. Further details on the cycling potential data illustrated by the two infographics below the chart can be found in the Travel in London report 11 (section 3.4).
