I've read on the news that TFL will be saving £35m from the discontinuation of the 16 routes. I was wondering, how much is that figure including the 168 and 271?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 20 July 2022 asking for information about savings from discontinuing bus routes.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
The withdrawal of routes 168 & 271 can only be achieved as part of a package of changes to other routes as already described in the appropriate consultation outcomes. The associated packages (a) Routes 1, 168 & 188 and (b) Routes 21, 76, 141, 143D, 234, 263 & 271 are estimated to saving a further £3.6m per annum in addition to the £35m per annum.
