FOI - Seven Siters Road Box Junction - Painted Lines Worn beyond Compliance
Request ID: FOI-0949-1920
Date published: 23 July 2019
You asked
With regard to the maintenance records regarding Seven Sisters road junction with A503.
I write in regard to a possible contravention to Diagram 1043 or 1044, as appropriate, of
Schedule 6 to Part I of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions act 2002, whereas
the road markings are thusly worn to a level where they no longer comply with the
aforementioned act. If you would please be kind enough to forward information in regard to the
maintenance, in particular the line painting and general wear and tear of the road surface and
condition in regard to this junction. The information is a freedom of information request and
would appreciate any records going back at least one year from the date of this email. I
understand printed copies may incur charges for administration etc, however PDF’s would be
satisfactory.
What does surprise me is that the information in the schedule ‘does not’, adequately layout the
density of the line painting and its visibility, however does specify lighting requirements which
are also brought into question.
