CCTV and traffic light sequence

You asked
Junction of The Vale and Hendon Way, Barnet, London, NW11. We are looking to obtain any CCTV/ traffic camera footage covering this junction. I would be grateful if you could confirm if you hold any and if we are able to have sight of the same. We are also investigating the traffic light sequence to ascertain whether the Claimant or Defendant travelled over a red light at the time of the accident. Are you able to provide us with any details in respect of the traffic light sequencing around the time of the accident (26 February 2024 at approximately 21:00) or if you are able to point us in the direction of someone who would be able to assist with this.

Thank you for your email which we received on 21 June 2024, asking for a CCTV footage and traffic light sequence report.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act / and our information access policy. 

I can confirm that we hold the information you require. However, for a detailed explanation of the operation of the signals we would need to prepare a traffic signal sequencing report. A distinct process exists for this information, for which there is a charge. Should you wish to proceed, please send a request directly to [email protected] who will advise further.

Your request for CCTV footage will be dealt with separately as a Subject Access Request (SAR) under the GDPR legislation. I have passed it onto our colleagues at Road User Charging, who will respond to you directly.
