We answered

TfL Ref 0898-2021

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 21 August 2020 asking for a financial breakdown accounting for each pound charged by Transport for London for each tier of application fee for a private hire operator licence.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.   You asked for: a financial breakdown accounting for each pound charged by Transport for London for each tier of application fee for a private hire operator licence.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested to that level of granularity.  However, our Finance Committee paper from 15 September 2017 on taxi and private hire licence fees details the most comprehensive breakdown of fees that we hold on this. Please see the following link, in particular Appendix 2: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/item04-taxi-private-hire-fees.pdf

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
