Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 26 June 2019.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:
Please supply all traffic light timing parameters for the pedestrian/cycle crossing on Holloway Road, adjacent to Whittington Park and Davenant Road.
In particular, the waiting time between a pedestrian or cyclist pressing a crossing button and the lights changing, and if and how it varies throughout the day.
The typical wait time for a pedestrian or cyclist after pressing the button will be between 0 and 45 seconds. In peak periods (7am to 10am and 4pm to 7:30pm), where traffic levels are higher and more people are travelling by bus, the maximum wait time is up to 65 seconds.
The traffic signal timings on this busy part of the A1 are coordinated and optimise automatically to seek to reduce delay to people travelling on the bus network. As traffic levels vary over the course of the day, so too does the maximum wait time.
