Request ID: FOI-0866-2223 Date published: 13 July 2022
You asked
Please provide the following information:
How many tickets have been issued to drivers for failing to give way at Salter's hill - Lambeth?
How many drivers have appealed the penalty decision?
How many drivers have had a decision turned over by appealing?
How many drivers have taken their case forward to an independent adjudicator and how many of these have won on appeal?
How many people have asked Lambeth to provide better signage including providing a 'STOP AND GIVE WAY' signage(and stop lines on the road)as opposed to oncoming vehicles have priority?
At what point can a driver know when to give way to oncoming traffic in terms of metres - presumedly one must not impede oncoming traffic or force any oncoming traffic to alter their driving, but how do you account for oncoming traffic speeding and or driving in a bullish manner to enforce others to give way?
Also, how long would you expect a driver to slow down and stop when the road ahead is not very long and drivers from the opposite direction can appear at any moment after coming from around the corner and therefore are not visible at the time of entering under the bridge?
I look forward to a response in full.
